Part 1: Selecting a niche
What is a niche?
A niche is a focused, targetable portion of a broader market in which specialized products or services can be sold. In the case with eBay, a niche is any product that can be sold for a profit.
Do I have to spend money to get started?
You don’t have to even spend money on a product when you first get started selling on eBay. My first sale was a set of Wimpy Kid books that were in my closet for years. You can sell anything on eBay!
Places to find items to sell:
- Around the house
- Yard sales
- Flea market
- Thrift stores (I personally use Goodwill)
- Wholesalers
